4 long beep before POST

Hello,

I bought a PC last week, following are my configurations.

AMD Phenom II x4 955,
Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 (rev. 3.1),
transcend DDR3 4GB RAM,
1TB seagate HDD.

yesterday i installed windows7-64bit and Ubuntu 11.04, after restart i hear 4 long beep on POST and system is not booting up.

i am not a techi in hardware parts, but i tried few test by browsing the web.

replaced CMOS battery
checked all the cable connections

can you please help me solve this issue. (I'm a noob)

Check your motherboards manual, it will tell you what the 4 beeps indicate, if you don't have a manual then there should be one for your motherboard on Gigabytes website.

I would reseat all connections
Reseat RAM modules and graphics card. Also try with just one Module (if you have more than one).
Take CMOS battery out for atleast 10 minutes.

take out 1 memory module that should get it to post change the memory setting from un-ganged to ganged in mobo intelligent tweaker turn the unit off put other memory module back in should work fine after
