AMD Phenom II x4 955,
Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 (rev. 3.1),
transcend DDR3 4GB RAM,
1TB seagate HDD.

yesterday i installed windows7-64bit and Ubuntu 11.04, after restart i hear 4 long beep on POST and system is not booting up.

i am not a techi in hardware parts, but i tried few test by browsing the web.

replaced CMOS battery
checked all the cable connections

Check your motherboards manual, it will tell you what the 4 beeps indicate, if you don't have a manual then there should be one for your motherboard on Gigabytes website.

I would reseat all connections
Reseat RAM modules and graphics card. Also try with just one Module (if you have more than one).
Take CMOS battery out for atleast 10 minutes.
