Can i plug in a graphics card to a floppy drive power supply

Hello,
I want to disconnect a floppy drive and use its power source via 4 pin molex connector to power a Nvidia AGP 7600, is this going to work?
Also, the card does have a 4 pin molex slot!

  1. Yes it will be fine. My floppy drive isn't powered by a 4pin molex, and I havn't seen one in a long time, but if it is a 4 pin molex it will be fine. You should an extra 4pin molex, and the 7600 on newegg comes with a spliter anyway.
  2. A floppy drive should use a mini four pin connector. Unless the card has one two it isn't going to work.
  3. My floppy drive power cable has a splice w/open 4 pin connector, so itlooks like it will plug right in, just wanted to know if it would leave me with ashes where the card was,,lol
  4. No, if your floppy has a normal molex plug it will be fine. No ashes or anything like that. Assuming your "splice" is a good one that is. If you have a short somewhere....
