Ok i know a laptop Acer Aspire 8983g which comes with either windows 7 or vista OS. The main problem is that it comes only with Nvidia Geforce 9600M GT which is an unstable graphics card...In order to make it stable i have to launch empowering technology and make the graphics card power mode High not maximum...Now i now longer get random black screens when i play games and have to restart my laptop with a risk of crashing my hard drive...However this created another problem. Now i play with 30 fps instead of 80 fps. How to i under-lock my graphics card so i can put it on maximum graphic power mode and play normally?

If the laptop is under warranty then you should get a replacement, a graphics card (and everything else) should work to specifications.

I would download MSI Afterburner (RivaTuner works too) and use that.
First go download the latest ForceWare drivers (nVidia's official drivers) and try again, if it's still not stable then you can underclock from within the control panel.
