Hi Guys, I want to buy a good HDD.

My preferences are:
+ I don't need any backup softwares/utilities.
+ Good Transfer Rate is Appreciated!
+ MOST IMPORTANTLY, I DON'T WANT IT TO GET CORRUPT!

Q1. Which HDD has better life, 500gb or 1tb?
I don't wan my 1tb HDD to get corrupt and erase my data. Please Share your Expiriences.

Q2. Buffalo MiniStation 1TB or WD Elements SE 1TB?

Buffalo MiniStation USB 3.0 1 TB. Model: HD-PCT1TU3/BB

WD Elements SE 1 TB USB 3.0. Model: WDBPCK0010BBK

NOTE: I will not be buying this from Amazon. In India, they both are in Stock.

500gb vs 1tb shouldn't make that much difference, you may get individual user responses, but that that isn't very conclusive data.

That buffalo ministation uses a western digital drive in it.

I would purchase based on warranty, and if those are the same then price.

Warranty Period for the both is same, 3 years. And the price difference is barely 1 dollar.
