Hello,
i have blanking sockets in my living room and discovered that they are built in bare end wires for surround sound and i have also discovered that i have a amp built in aswell,so i have the wires and connected them but no sound.so how do i make it work?

It would help if you detailed what you have hooked up. Having said that, start with your receiver or amp and one pair of speakers with an mpg player as a source. If you have sound, continue with the other speaker and check the audio after each.

To make sure your amp or receiver is working, bypass the in wall wiring and test it with any speaker cables you have.

As I said, more info would help.

As for the built in amp, are you able to get to it to check your connections.

1-Are the speakers actually connecting at both ends?
2-Do you have power to the amp?
