The issue I have run into is that the Samsung 830 256 GB SSD is out of stock and does not appear to be coming back in stock anytime soon.

So now, I am looking for a good replacement for the 830. I have heard that Crucial M4's are good, and have been looking at Corsair Neutron GTX drives as well.

Specifically:

Would anyone be able to recommend a different SSD?

Thanks,

HMF

Edit:

Wrong motherboard. This will be on an ASRock Z77 Extreme4

Both of them, samsung 830 and M4, are very good SSD.

Yes first choice is samsung 830, then I recommend the other "Mushkin Enhanced Chronos Deluxe" ( Model # has the DX) and it is also the best SSDs for ~$170 performance 240 GB in this site Best SSDs For The Money.

Here is review http://www.thinkcomputers.org/mushkin-chronos-deluxe-240gb-solid-state-drive-review/

When you shop for SSD, you will get for the one has the more reliability, price, and performance. Because reliability is first, then you can see the difference in benchmark but you hard to feel the difference in the real world usage. The mushkin has lower per GB/ $.

The Corsair Neutron Series is also good but it is newer and high price.

Thanks for the reply.

The only issue ith Mushkin is that this will be on an ASRock board, which apparently have issues with Mushkin SSD`s. ASRock even recommend not using Mushkin SSD`s.
