Gpu fan speed

Hello, first of all i'm new to this, and i wanted to be sure i wasn't doing anything wrong. Now to the topic:
evga precision says my gpu's fan speed is only 4%, is that alright or should i change it?
This is worrying me since most people that i see talking about this have their cards with around a fan speed of 60%.

  1. what card do you have and what are your temps at idle and load?

i've never seen a GPU fan at 4% (it has to be idle) but if the temps are reasonable then its fine.....
  2. Precision always sets mine (and my friends) speesd to 40 percent by default. What card do you have?
  3. I have a gts 250 1gb, my temps are 40-45° celcius , 65-70° while playing crysis.

most fans are set to around 40% at idle, maybe it was simply a typo.
  5. I doubt its a typo, gpu-z and evga precision both say 4%, i'll try 40%.

Thats what I was thinking as well.

We ment typo on your part, not precisions. Really 4 percent is nothing, you can go ahead and push it. Your temps aren't horrible though. (Granted I don't know what a normal temp for that card is.)

i also have a GTS250, those temps are well within normal spec for it.
