Seeking advice

Hi everyone,

Is this system good enough to play all latest games with full graphics on a 23" Samsung LCD?

System:
MSI P55 GD45 motherboard
Core i5 650 (dual 3.2GHz)
OCZ 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM
MSI ATi Radeon HD5830
600Watt PSU
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD

Any suggestions?

Replace the the HD5830 with a HD6850.
Mention the brand of the PSU.
Get a Quad core. Maybe the i5 760.

Yes i5 760 sounds like a really good idea, but im on a budget so can only change on of two. Graphics or CPU?

Change the PSU. That is not a good PSU. Like the Corsair VX550W. Anyways if you are limited on budget, get a good PSU and GPU now. And upgrade the proccy, RAM, mobo later!

By the way, what do you have now?

Okay, will do. Yes the PSU is kinda cheap. Current PC is really old. Pentuim4 3.2Ghz, 1GB RAM, GeForce 6200.

You really need an upgrade. But if you can upgrade after January then you may get your hands on a SB which should really be cool. But the HD6870 which i mentioned wont be of any use until you upgrade your processor. It will surely be bottlenecked by the the proccy!

Im buying a whole new system. Is Coolermaster a good PSU?

Nope! Its still bad! Especially if you are considering the Extreme Power Plus series. For PSU stick to Corsair, Seasonic and Antec only.

I've decided to take the HD6850, but should i then go with the i5 650 or the AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 965 ? thy cost the same.

The 965 is a quad core and would be a better performer than the i5 650 anyday. But as i said, just wait for the SB to come out.
