Best 128GB SSD

I'm probably either buying an OCZ Vertex 4 or Samsung 830 (Edit: Or the 840/840 Pro) SSD, or maybe even a Crucial M4.

I've heard good things about both, and I want to get the one that will give me both good performance and good reliability.

  1. Samsung 830 or the new Samsung 840, I have been using the 830 and just bought the 840 and have jet to switch over to it but if you go with the 830 you won't be dissapointed. The drive has been solid since I bought it.

For some reason I thought the 840 was $180 but it's only $100 for some reason. I may get the Pro for $150.
  3. The pro isn't worth the additional $50. Get the 840 normal version itself, best dollar per gigabyte spent($0.83/Gb)

Okay, I'm not even sure what difference the pro version has.
I find it strange the 830 is $10 more expensive than the newer 840 though.

The difference between the pro and normal versions of the 840 is the write speed, on the pro model the write speed is 390 mb/s and the normal model is 130 mb/s so the $50 may be worth the additional 260 mb/s write speed. The 830 which is $25 less then the 840 is 320 mb/s write speed.
  6. have you had a look at the SanDisk Extreme Solid State Drive 120GB
its had some great reviews and has read 550 write 510 for only $100
