Hello,
My new $279 computer does most of what I need. I want to add ram since it came with only 2 gb ddr3. I have added memory eons ago, now a a grandmother, I wonder if I am too old to be this. What to buy? Does it just snap into a slot and bingo. computers ram is up tp speed, or should I pay a young computer tech to order the ram and install it. Says it holds up to 8 gigs. It is the new Wal-mart disposable laptop. I someday hope to own an apple laptop, but til then.....
Aspire 5250-bz873, 250 gb hdd, AMD sual-core processor c-50. TIA
ps, no idea which sub-catagory this fits

If you have a Phillips screw driver you can do it yourself. Just flip your laptop over remove the screw covering your ram slots pop out the 2 gig stick and add these.

Confirm that you have a 64-bit operating system before you purchase that RAM.

If you have a 32-bit OS, your system will only use about 3.25 GB in which case, you should only get 4GB.

Thanks, I ordered them with 3 day shipping. Appreciate you taking time to show me. Think I'll send it to tech guy at my husband's work and let him pop them in. Hubby gets nervous when I get the phillips out to see how thing work! sincerely, debbie
