8600 gt as physx card???

My current system has a core i5 750 and Ati 5850 @ stock. I have an old 8600 gt getting dust here. So if i put it does it do any good in physx or will it give poor performance even physx is not in use?
Also I play at 1680*1050

The 8600GT will be good for the PhysX on your set up.

Yes it will hep you on the games which need PhysX, but only a little game needs that PhysX, you will be more than enough with HD5850.

thanks for replying!! I'll use that 8600 gt as physx. My 2nd pcie is 4x. Hope it will not bottleneck a 8600
