Registry error BCCode:c0000218

I have the problem of start my XP home edition. It takes abt 3-4 minutes to
boot into start up window.

After the long boot up, it showed the error below:

BCCode : c0000218 BCP1 : E1795EB8 BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 768_1

Or it dont even let me to boot my computer by telling me registry error:
Step:C0000219{Registry File Failure} The Registry cannot load the hive (file)
\SystemRoot\System 32\Config\software

Do you have any advice to rectify this problem above?

What is the cause of this registry error? Could you help to elaborate? Thanks

You could try repairing the Registry or do a Repair Install.
