I have a HP a6130n and although some place say it has a 250 watt power supply I checked out the inside of the tower and found it has 300 watt power supply. This is the model HIPRO HP-D3057F3R 300W If I can find a graphics card that only needs 300 watt to run will this cut it?

what is the video card? an ATI 4350 for watching movies or an ATI 5670 for gaming?

Well I didn't have one selected. I really wanted to know if the power supply was sufficient. But if I had to pic probably the ATI 4350. I basically need it to to capture and edit video with the Hauppauge PVR 1212. My current card is integrated and sucks so the capture and edit comes out with lag and other playback problems.

two gerbils on an exercise wheel can power the ATI 4350, you could easily do so with your PSU. the ATI 4350 will handle video editing with no problem. make sure you have a PCI-E x16 slot.

PCI-E 2.0 and 1.0 are backwards compatible so as long as you have the slot (you do) you are fine

the XFX will work but it does not have an HDMI out, its just s-video, DVI, VGA. its also $10 cheaper on newegg and comes with another $10 back in mail in rebates
