Matshita dvd+rw uj 8755 driver is corrupt

I have a Dell Vostro 1510 that will not play a DVD. On "my computer" it does not even show up as being there. When I go into the device manager it says the driver is corrupt. I downloaded a device manager which shows me I have lots of outdated drivers, but says that my dvd driver is fine. Any suggestions to someone that is not very tech savvy!

  1. I would delete the driver and go to the Dell support site and enter in your express service code and get the driver for the dvd drive and load the new one. You do want to make sure that you completetly remove the old corrupted driver.
