I have just purchased a ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 1GB PCIe 2.0 (ENGTX285).
my budget didnt allow for a super duper gtx480 so this is what i could afford :)

what sort of price would you guys pay for this card?

(i have already bought it for a price, just wondering what you guys would say)

in £ by the way. you dollar boys have such a strange currency to me. £ is generally about 30% more than $ as well as the conversion rate

if you have already bought it, its irrelevant.

i wouldn't pay any more than 50 quid for it though. at the end of the day, its old tech. you could buy a 5 series card that will outperform it and run cooler and quieter and use less power.

^ The HD 5850 or GTX 470 would have been a better buy... they are priced similarly last time I checked.

aaa forgot to include that i didnt buy it at market value. I wouldnt of payed 300 and yes at that price i wouldnt of been able to afford it and would of gone with a 5850 probably.

Do you think i got a good deal with £135?

not a bad deal, but i wouldn't have bought it.

fi it does what you want, then it will suit you fine. but i would rather have picked up a 5 series card of the same price.
