Hi community,

My Sony Vaio F series laptop running Windows 7 has been having issues rebooting after installing updates. I go through the startup repair and it says it can't solve the issue. I started in SafeMode and ran a chkdsk, which took about 12 hours to complete due to 100+ unreadable files segments... Do I need a new hard drive? If not, and recommendations for fixing this one? Copied below is the log of the event I retrieved from the Event Viewer, but I'm not sure what all it means. Thanks so much.

Your drive appears to have numerous bad sectors. Try a comprehensive SMART diagnostic. Look for reallocated, pending, or uncorrectable sectors.
