Hey guys, I am obviously new to the "tom's hardware forum" and i am wondering if you guys are willing to help me out on my computer build list. I am checking to see if these parts will be compatible with each other. If you guys have any suggestions for which part that i should change, please say so. My budget is preferably around $1000 is my maximum.

first up, use our standard form for new builds

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261222-31-build-advice

second: you need a ower supply in all that.

for pure gaming, the X6s aren't really that good.. most Games use 2 or 3 cores, so right now, higher clock rate X4s are better. The 955 and the 965 outdo the x6 1055 in most games.

However, if you do tasks that can take greater advantage of multiple cores (video encoding, 3D animation, etc) the 6-core processors shine at this.

You also don't need 8 GB for games, 4GB is fine. Again, what else will you be doing?

I apologize for not using the standard form and also not stating my purpose thoroughly. My purposes are gaming, some cad work(autocad, i am a mechancal engineer student), video editing, and regular office work etc.
