[WANTED ADIVSE] FOR GPU select...

Originally ,I was planned to get a HD 5850 or 5870 , now think about GTX 460..
My Gaming resolution is 2560X1600 or 1920X1200...
PSU : 550W
I also don't want GTX 470, 465, or 480 because of high temperature and Power Consumption...
Which GPU shall I choose ??
HD 5850 or 5870 or GTX 460 ???

If your going to play at 2560x1600 then I would say to get the 5870. Otherwise I'd say get the GTX 460.

The 460 can't keep up very well with the 5850 or 5870 at highest resolutions except in certain scenarios. However, if SLI is an option (given the budget for a 5870, it should be) then I'd say probably get SLI 460s, as it's cheaper and performs very well. But otherwise, a 5870 is going to be a lot better.

A single 5870 will use less power than 2 gtx 460s and you are probably going to see very similar performance results with the two setups. If you are really that scared of Al Gore, I'd go with a 5870

I would get the 5870, even though SLI and CF are very mature, there are still a lot of problems with them.
