Ok guys, this builds going to be a challenge. His parents need to buy everything IN STORE. We are located in plano/richardson/dallas texas. Theres a Micro Center, a Frys, and a CompUSA nearby. Everything needs to be purchased from there.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within a week or so

BUDGET RANGE: $600-$650 (That budget MAY change, it just depends on how much my friends parents are looking to spend. Right now I think around $600.)

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Internet, viewing photos (not editing), school work, some gaming

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Monitor, keyboard/mouse

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: compusa.com, frys.com, microcenter.com (I need everything to be availible IN STORE. Theres an option to view in store availibility, go down to texas and find the Plano, TX store. if it says in stock, were good. His parents dont buy ANYTHING online)

If just casual gaming, then get the ATI HD 4650 preferably with 512MB DDR3 over 1GB DDR2...Or ATI HD 5570 or Nvidia GT240

^ As for the graphics card, check out HD 4650(DDR3 versions)< GT240< HD 4670< HD 4850/ GTS250(If gaming like FPS and such else HD 4670 would suffice)...See which falls into your budget, get that...I have arranged those cards in terms of performance...
