right. that is a a good question. I am looking at the best buy website at the inspiron 14 and the processor is listed as Intel pentium. that's it. in my research, this is one of the best deals for laptops, but i have also read different discussions about the different cpu's. I am a total novice in computer land, so any advice would be helpful. Thanks,

The 6600 is a better chip, but either would do what you want it to do.

I did a search and it seems Inspiron 14 comes with T6600
http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/dell-inspiron-14-intel/...
But it could be a different model.
Anyway, like etk mentioned,T6600 is faster than any Pentium models you an find.So if all the other specs are the same,go with T6600.
