Hi,
Sorry ct1615 for another gpu thread, i am sorry for annoying u guys here with my questions but I really want to make a good choice before i buy my graphics card his time around unlike when i bought my last card... SO, here it is:

1. Should i buy a 5770 or gtx 260 next week?
a.5770 1gb
b.gtx 260

2. or wait until SEPTEMBER to get a gtx 460 or 5830?
a.gtx 460 768mb
b.5830 1gb

The gtx 460 has been released and the 768mb version is burning through at the $200 price and getting an average of 1-5fps higher than the same $200 5830. What should i do? I really want to get back to gaming since i sold my 9600gt back in feburary, i am stuck with a 6150se since then and im going crazy :heink: ! I NEED TO GAME :D !!!! Money hasnt ever been tighter and I only have $200 in september :( ! i have $150 now and 5770 = $135 ebay now, gtx 260 = $135 ebay now!. So what should i do. WHat should i get. if i choose 1. will the 5770 be fast enough with my x2 240? is dx11 worth it? is the gtx 260 too old to last over a year? should i wait for 2.? if so, i will probably get the $200 gtx 460 but the 5830 lowered price already with the release. $180 with rebate. IDK WHAT TO DO! Please please help. I am most worried about crysis/warhead and bad company 2. Could i play them maxed no aa 1920x1080 with the 5770 or gtx 260? if i buy an ati card itll be akward since my cm 690 nvidia edition case... please help... i am stuck with those 4 cards. FOUR CARDS! PLEASE HELP ME CHOOSE WHICH AND WHEN! If i buy a gtx 260 or 5770 will i regret it in a year or more?

Please help and sorry for annoying you guys with another gpu thread. I am tired of *&% onboard 6150se! but if i get the 5770/gtx260 will i regret it and wish i had gotten the gtx 460/5830?? is it worth the wait while my brain gets ever so impatient.

Thanks :sol:

If you don't want to upgrade in 1.5 years why are you even asking about OLD technology. If you want futureproof your going to have to get new technoogy. Go with the 460.

rolli59 thanks for the site! i dont use aa.... the only time i ever used aa was when i got 70+fps lol... at 1920x1080, aa is not a big necesity. I want an average of 25fps on crysis very high 1920x1080 with no aa. would a x2 240 and gtx 460 give me the results im looking for? Well it doesnt matter since thats the most expensive/best card i can go for anyways.

ok all i want is to not have to upgrade in 1.5years

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-460-gf104-fermi,2684-9.html looks like the GTX460 1Gb can just make it over 25 fps but that benchmark is done on I7 980X which will obscure it not in favor of your CPU. The bottom line though is that GTX460 is the best card you can buy the only question is can you wait until September?

hahahaha rolli59 thats the problem! my head is about to blow up with the wait, and when school starts an august my heart will drop and ill be depressed even when i get the gtx 460 cuz all the homework  so i wanted to spend the rest of my summer gaming a bit and thats why i asked hahahaha so the 5770/gtx260 is almost put of the picture, the only reason id get the 5830 is because the falling prices since the release of the gtx 460. I can now get a brand new 5830 for $180 shipped and id only have to wait until august 20 , but idk lol
