A question about memory compatibility with my motherboard

I bought a Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H AMD 880G AM3 Motherboard and 2 sticks of DDR3 2GB 2000MHz DUAL CO RAM. my motherboard supports 1866+ MHz.....will the RAM i bought work with this? is 1866+ mean exactly what i think....that any number higher can work?

You can probably install the RAM and have it work, but it will probably work at 1866MHz.

Your manual for the board should tell how fast the board will take for the memory.

CompulsiveBuilder is right if 1866+ is the fastest then the 2000 will run at a slower 1866 speed.
