How to fix my cpu cd drive

Hello,
im having trouble with my cd rom drive in my cpu. everytime i put in a disc or dvd nothing happens. the computer doesnt even start reading the disc. do i need a new cd rom drive altogether or is there something i can do to fix it?

Check the cables, make sure that the power and data cables are connected properly. If that doesnt fix it you will probably need a new drive but they arent too much, usually only about $20

Check your PSU, do use Pure Power supply or PSU from Stock Casing? you must use Pure Power Supply for replace New driver CDROM , if not! your New CDROOM broken in less 1 years.

get a new cd drive, or you can adjust the lens, check the motor if it still working or not, to make things easy just buy a new one

Get a new optical drive. Its very cheap these days
