I built a gaming system and I was just curious whether my PSU will be able to handle it. Here's what I have:

Mobo: ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890FX
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Case (with 4 LED fans): Antec Three Hundred Illusion Black Steel ATX Mid Tower
Optical: LITE-ON Black 22X Multi
HDD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM
GPU: GIGABYTE GV-N460OC-1GI GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5

And this is the PSU I got: CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V

I tried the eXtreme Power Supply Calculator and it rated it at 530-550w (I wasn't sure which HDD to put in, so I did both), but I know there's a big difference between using an online calculator and asking people who know what they're talking about.

The PSU I got was DOA, so I'm returning it and need to know whether I should get it replaced or get a refund if I need a better one.

Thanks :D

I'm not too worried. I got nVidia because of their superb Linux support, and I got AMD because of their excellent price:performance ratio. For what this machine's going to do, the current setup will be just fine, and now I know better going into my next build.
