  1. Hi...
gt240 and HD5670 are similar to your graphics card...
If you want more performance, you should choose an HD5750 (125$) but you'll not have physx.

    What resolution is your monitor?

    Bye
  2. u could try the gts250 or wait a month or 2 for the new nvidia cards.
  3. Yes, HD5670 and GT240 are the same performance, but 5670 offer dx.11.
You will be fine with your current PSU, HD5670 is a very efficient card, it doesn't use much power.
What about the rest of your system?
  4. im pretty sure the 9600gt has better performance then the gt240 and 5670.
  5. For Physx only Nvidia, on the other hand few games use that and only for a little eye candy in some places, DX11 is more important.

IMO the minimum upgrade would be a HD5770.

hd 5670 is better than both 9600gt and gt240 by 15-20% in most games, so if you want performance and dx11 5670 is the best choice at the same price of 9600gt-gt240.
  7. bear with your current card a liitle longer and save money. the upgrade your looking at will not be worth it. Your current card should still play most games fine on medium detail settings. Im running an 8800gts 640mb, which is about as powerful as your card and it still plays games well enough for now

    I agree :)
    I have the 9600gt and it's a good card... In my system, it's also castrated (E2140 @1.8ghz and PCI-E x4)

    :hello:

just checked and he is right, but its more like 10-15%. crysis is 1 of the games where the 9600gt beats it. the 9600gt beats the gt240 in pretty much all of the games. so u could get the 5670 for the dx11 and slightly better performance but u would lose out on phsyx. according to rumours, the lower end cards in the 400 series will be releasing in the next few months so you could wait.
  10. the dx11 in the 5670 are not important. This card is too slow to use these directx and 5% more performance is not relevant.

    good ;)
  11. they say the gts455/450 will release in august and that the gt440 will release in september for less than $100 and will compete with the 5600/5500.
  12. My L.C.D is of 19'' and max resolution is 1440x900.My present graphics card 9600gt is awesome.I have played most of new game like Crysis,Crysis-warhead,dead space,CNC-TT,Assassin's creed,Assassin's creed II etc. games at high resolution &
enabling every option in game menu. And also my card support Physx. But the problem is my recently my PC keep restarting.I have found that the problem is in Graphics card.So I want to buy a graphics card which is less then 110$ in price and need only 440W PSU.
  13. buy the HD 5670 and if you have 2 PCI slots on your mobo use the 9600GT for physx.
  14. Intel C2Q @ 2.4 Q8300/Value top 500W/Gigabyte EG41MFT-US2H/2GB DDR3 RAM/500GB HDD/Samsung DVD R.W
  15. Gigabyte EG41MFT-US2H
    only 1 physical PCI-E x16 slot.
  16. im not from the us so i don't know the prices but i think the 5750 might be around $110 and is better then the 9600gt. it should be able to do dx11 @ 1440x900.
