Burning a DVD

I doubt this is in the right section but anyway... I have some recordings of football games and they are in MP4 format. How do I get them onto a dvd (dvd-r, dvd+r, or what?) that pill play on a dvd player? (I know its a noob question) Thanks for the help.

I would just use a plain dvd-r disc and stay away from the dvd dvd-rw, the dvd-rw will give you problems with the dvd player. The dvd-r should play fine on a dvd player.
