Hello, i'm in need of some advice from the pros.
i'm getting an upgrade for my system, but due to the limited budget i gotta choice between these two :

AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE + MSI HD 5770 Hawk

or

i5 760 + MSI 450 GTS Cyclone

i'd mostly be using this for gaming and maybe a little video editing.
thank so much to anyone who helps newcomer like myself..

Solution
with the 450 and the i5 760 the card (450) will be a big bottle neck and you would only be able to play game on low - medium settings with the 965 and the 5770 there is some balance but the card will still be the main bottle neck you should be able to play games on medium-high settings at 1080. With an Athlon x 3 and a 460 or 6850 you should be able to play most games with the settings maxed out at 1080, the processor will be a small bottleneck on games that can use more than 3 cores or at lower resolutions but a cheap tx3 or 212+ cooler and an overclock to 3.6GHz ish should sort that out. In my opinion for purely gaming the Athlon will be the best balanced system.

Splendid

The 760 is only better if he is big on overclocking. Otherwise, due mainly to the higher clock speed, the 955 is plenty good, and more importantly a lot cheaper. i5 760+mobo would likely be around $100 more.
