3 0ghz 945d processor the best graphics card

I have a pentium D 945 processor 3.0ghz with ASUS P5LP-LE MB 4gb ram and 850watt power supply currently running PNY 8400GS pci-e graphics card. What is the best card to replace this graphics card and will there be any problems.

This seems a reasonable upgrade Radeon HD 4670 but if I wanted to use a 32" lcd tv instead of a monitor would there be any issues? Or could I run a geforce 8800gt, 9800gt?
