I am looking at making a NAS device and found this kit on Amazon which sounded like a reasonable deal: ADMI AMD Athlon X2 240 2.8Ghz CPU - ASRock N68 VS3 Motherboard - 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz Bundle for £74.95.
I take it I need to buy a separate heatsink. I want it to be as quiet as possible but cheap ish and small ish so i can fit it in as small a case as I can get away with.
I am going to attach 4 HDD and some sort of flash memory of O/S
The RAID controller i was looking at was Startech 4 Port PCI SATA RAID Storage Controller to utilise RAID 1 & 0
I was thinking about Antec Earthwatts 500 or OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W as PSU
Could anyone suggest what heat sink i should look at and also suggestions for a PSU to go with it.
