gta 4 on nvidia 9400gt graphic cards

Hey i have a system with core i3 processor clocked at 2.93 ghz,4gb ddr3 ram,500gb hdd,9400gt 1gb graphic card&intel dh55tc motherboard............
will it be able to run in my pc with medium or high settings?coz ican run assassin's creed in high settings without any lagging!

well...Maybe, you're system is pretty good, enough for GTAIV but the GPU is kinda low... What resolution are you playing at?

iam playing at 1280*764 or 768,iam not getting exactly.but ican play assassins creed very smoothly.

i have the same config and i play it on medium but its not looking beautiful.
yeah i played AC on high like you but GTA4 is too heavy

GTA 4 is more demanding that AC, that 9400GT just won't cut it on high settings. I'd recommend you use low/medium settings.

i had the same card before, and the answer is noooo!!.......a 9400 is just a waste of money....it runs horrible at 800x600 res at mid low settings giving
20-25 avg fps.........

ya bro i also have 9400gt paired with intel Q8300 & 2gb DDR2, but still i have to ply it on medium... on high settings it slows down but still playable thanks to my Quad....

your quad will just bottleneck between the 9400.......if you just upgrade to a 9800 you'll see a huge change coz a quad is just great for gta4.....

What do you want more? you have great pc,install vista sp2 and see magic becuz that card will work better i mean much much better than xp or in windows damn it 7

Don't get a GTX260, it's overpriced and outdated from the last generation.

Get an ATI 5770 for $160 or Nvidia GTX460 for $200

ok will think on it...but i live in india. here in my city i am getting gtx 260 after a long wait, here if u ask for a i7 machine then also u have to wait for 2-3 days, and after that u can only get a i7 930 not above that, how sad... so i don't think i can get that 460. anyways thanks......

You have two options: you can go for ati cards (they are both cheap and powerful than nvidia). they are easily avialable in the indian markets.......you can buy the HD5850 which will cost you the same price but will offer you performance like the GTX470......or you have this option : http://www.lynx-india.com/index.php?categoryID=87&category_slug=desktop-hardware (buy it online)

well i will try to get them after some research & watching some reviews.... i never used ATI before....
