Proccessor installed wrong

Hello,
i installed my dual core socket 775 processor wrong, when the computer would not show video and boot up, i removed the proccessor and found the mistake, now i installed it correctly , but it still will not show video and boot up, is the proccessor and motherboard dead?
the fan runs, the lights on motherboard are on, but no video

You'd do well to install the CPU "wrong". Can you explain in detail why you think it wasn't installed correctly?

When you switch on your system does your motherboard make any beeps? If so you should look in the motherboard manual for beep codes to identify what the issue is.

It would be good if you could tell us more about your system. In particular what power supply and graphics card you are using.
