Guys,

Im going to be building a new system soon but I hear there is a new intel family coming soon with new socket meaning new mobo?

Will this new family be reasonably priced compared to the ones on the market atm? or will they cost a fortune i.e. I stick with the ones out at the moment.

The one I have in mind is Intel Core i7 950 Bloomfield 45nm, 3.06 GHz, QPI 4.8GT/s, 8MB Cache, 23x Ratio, 130W, Retail...

Thanks!

It is the LGA1156 socket that is getting refurbished first to LGA1155 (sandy bridge) the LGA1366 is still going to be the high end well into next year at least.
