PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Will be purchasing everything including OS

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: : newegg.com, Amazon

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: by brand or type : I would like to use an AMD CPU & Asus mobo with a Mid tower case)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Will be using the audio and video on the mob for now

Any advice on compatibility or ideas from your own experience will be greatly appreciated.

I never even put any thought into an HTPC, but now after reading some articles it seems to make a lot of sense.

I obsessed for about a week on the build above and I think you swayed me toward you're idea.

Are the Blu-ray players for pc's decent enough to spend the money on?

I am about to upgrade my HDTV and found a good combo deal with a Blu-ray and theater sound system included.

^ As for the Blue-ray player for PCs, if you get a good playback software, then its fine...
