IF I PUT A PENTIUM CORE 2 E6300 WOULD THIS MINIMISE BOTTLENECK OTHER WISE I BELIEVE I NEED TO UPGRADE MB AND CPU?

Your rig would run almost any game with the 8800GTS/9800GT or HD5670 upgrade.

Yes it would be bottlenecked, but you should try running your games first with the video card upgrade and use fraps to double-check. I was able to run Fallout 3 on Pentium D 945 with a 3870 with all settings on high @ 1280x1024 and it was usually 50~60fps. You'll be the judge if the cpu upgrade would really be necessary.

* Transferring to a stock E5200 made my fps jump to 10~20fps more.
