I tried to put more memory in my computer but I am getting one long beep and com

tried to install more memory and all I got was one long beep and my computer did not start up. Put old memory back in it is o.k. What is the problem?

You will need to give us a lot more information than that

At the moment all we can do is say "yes - it didn't work". The meaning of "one long beep" varies from one motherboard to the next.

At a guess, you bought the wrong kind of RAM for your motherboard, or you installed it incorrectly (perhaps in the wrong sockets).

You'll need to tell us what maker and model of motherboard, the CPU, the old RAM's details, and the new RAM's details, at least.
