APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Before middle of September. Ready to buy now unless something new is coming soon.

BUDGET RANGE: 600-700

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Final Fantasy XIV Online, editing HD video in PowerDirector 8

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Monitor, mouse, keyboard

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg.com or Microcenter locally to support the local store

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: by brand or type: Silent case at idle (I love my current LanBoy 3)

OVERCLOCKING: Most likely not

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Native Resolution of 1920x1080, but FFXIV currently is being tested in windowed mode, so will probably run at 1280x720

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Needs to be quiet at idle. 80 Plus PSU desired for low power when idle. Lightscribe on DVD writer. 4 GB RAM minimum

I have put together this build by picking highly rated parts on Newegg and Passmark.com for benchmark information along with Tomshardware articles. Looking to have this validated, and possibly some combo deals from Newegg as I find it hard to locate the parts I want that can be grouped in a combo.

Case: Antec Three Hundred - I do not plan on needing more than 3 bays, and looking for something quiet and not a full tower. Lights on the case fans are not necessary, or really desired.

Motherboard: Asus M4A78T-E - Picked at random from Newegg for good ratings. Would take any recommendations if the price doesn't change drastically.

Video Card: Sapphire HD 5770 - Decided on HD 5770, but not dedicated to a particular version. This has a mail-in rebate currently

PSU: Roswell RG530-S12 - Want an 80 Plus certified model, and this had decent reviews along with an instant rebate

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 945 - Selected from Tomshardware sub-$150 guide

Memory: G-Skill 4 GB DDR3 1600 - 4 GB is a must

Hard Drive: Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ - TomsHardware only has hard drive charts for 2009 but this was high on the list and 1 TB storage. Open to other drives of similar size and price if performance is better

Wow, you just blew my mind. That is much more machine than I had priced out at a lower cost. I'm half tempted to order right now. How often do combo deals churn on Newegg? Will this be good tomorrow?

After Batuchka's pricing, I'm looking at the reviews of the XFX 5850 and I see that the one with the combo listed above has some ratings that say it has coil noise, and higher temps, but it has a 30 day return policy.

I found anther XFX 5850 that has a better looking heatsink and better reviews, but it has no return, only replacement through newegg and costs $23 more.

Trying to decide if peace of mind it worth it. If the card works and it quiet when idle, then I won't need to return it, but not sure about the cooling situation with that case.
