Is this 17.3 with the 720Qm the same hp laptop as the the one with the 740Qm?

Overall, unless you're doing something with cad or heavy cpu usage program, i dont think it will matter as My dad has a Toshiba satilite A or P105 (mixing up on the 2 Toshiba laptop my family has ATM) which has a 720 Qm, and what i've been able to mess around with in stores with laptops having 740QM cpu's, i've notice no difference. The 740QM is slightly faster in GHz but thats about it.

So get what best fits your budget. So if there both the same laptop with a 720 or 740, it wont matter. Get one of the following depending on the situation,

If there the same price: get the 740QM as it is "slightly" faster.

If one of them cheaper than the other: get the cheapest one.
