This has to be a silly mistake

Im putting together my second build. I can't get it to power up. The power supply fan wont start when plugged in. Ive tried different outlets. Everything is plugged into the motherboard in the right place as far as I can tell.

Yes... Just figured it out and this is quite stupid...

I forgot to press power on the case...

If yer still there, got power now but no lights on keyboard or mouse. Wont post and the mobo indicates memory problem. I reseated the memory, but still no beeps or output to the screen or keyboard or mouse...

??

Yup, that solved myproblem... had the power plugged into the reset on the front panel plugs...

^We all do it I guess hehe, built my Gf a new Rig for her B.day, and was getting stressed when power button was dead, no fans, no click, nothing, its 50/50 annoyance at oneself and pure utter relief when you see the psu power buttons the opposite way to how your used to seeing it
