Gutting out a Studio xps 435mt into a gaming rig

Hello,
I have a studio xps 435mt i7 920
iv had it couple years now and instead of buying a new one would like to biuld my 1st gaming rig. Would the cpu be able to go into another mother board and what typ of socket is it .. cant seem to find it . I plan on buying a antec 1200 case , P6T V2 mother board ? but using the same HD for now , ram , cd/dvd

I'm sure it's just a standard LGA 1366 socket and the CPU will come right out. In my opinion the newer P6X58D-E would be the better MB upgrade though:
