5970 or 5870x2

I need to know what the power consumption of running 2x 5970's and 2x 5870's is.

The 5970's would be running on a socket AM3 Asus Crosshair IV Formula Motherboard.

I am trying to decide if I want to get 2x 5970's, 2x 5870x2's or 2x 5870's but need to know what the power consumption is so I know what PSU to get.

There is no 5870x2 because a 5970 is a 5870x2, it just has them slightly downclocked to keep power consumption below 300W but they took a page from the nvidia naming scheme and gave it a different number like the 295. Two 5970s will run fine on a good 850W unit, 2 5870s will run fine on a good 750W unit.
