E6750 vs Q8300

I currently have an E6750 and I was wondering if I would see a big performance boost if I upgraded to the Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 (Yorkfield 2.5GHz 4MB L2 Cache). Basically is it performance boost going to be worth the $150 to buy it.

    Not likely to see a big boost - here's E6750 vs Q8400 (Q8300 not available):

    And if you're talking about gaming, this chart rates the quad only one tier higher, and not a recommended upgrade (read text above chart):
