SSD - what to do with old HD

So I just bought a 250g SSD and Im wonder what to do with my old 600g HD? Can I use it as a slave or for additional storage on my computer ( not as an extnal ) or do I have to buy another SSD to share the load?

Just use the HDD for storage with the SSD as the boot drive. By "mixed" we just mean having both sorts of drives used in the same machine.
