Will i7 740qm be faster than AMD Phenom II 1090T x6 ?

Just a quick question... will a laptop model of i7 740qm be faster than a desktop AMD Phenom 1090T CPU?

The 1090T Will be just a tad faster simply because it's a desktop setup the i7 is insane but a 1090T on a desktop setup with the right motherboard will fly.

The 1090T will destroy the 740QM, 2Ghz is simply too low to compete with the 3.2Ghz even with the i7s better architecture. Plus you have 2 extra cores with the 1090T.

So there is no six core mobile x6 unlike intel which has a six core mobile i7.

No, that 980x is a full blown desktop processor. The highest end laptop CPU from Intel is the 940XM which is still only a quad.

Anandtech doesn't list mobile processors.

But assuming linear and doing some math... divide each intel score by 1.6.
