Adding a 2nd SSD - Different Make & Model

I currently have a Intel 520 180 GB SSD installed on my desktop. I got a Samsung 830 as a gift and I was wondering if I can just install it as a 2nd drive. I plan on using it basically as an extension for when my first SSD fills up. Would there be any issues with two having different controllers and therefore different drivers?
