Hello everyone !!

Well i have a question about my motherboard and how do i have to set up the Rams so they will work in Duall channel.
My mobo is ASUS P5Q-E
My Ram's are OCZ EL DDR2 PC2-6400 / 800MHz / Gold GX Edition / Dual Channel i have 4 of those 1GB each.
I have searched the web on how to correctly setup the ram's so they would work in dual channel and everyone is pointing out that i have to put the rams in the same colors BUT in the mobo's manual it says that i have to put:
Channel A DIMM_A1 and DIMM_A2
Channel B DIMM_B1 and DIMM_B2
So whats the correct setup that i have to use :D

Thanks in advance.

Going by colors is not reliable. Follow the instructions in your manual.

But, since you have four 1GB sticks, it doesn't really matter, right? You are filling all your RAM slots with identical RAM. Right?

Well the RAM's come in 2 packages 2x1gb so the only difference is acually the part number witch is only different in the last 3 number for exaple the 2 that come together have 3451242303-1 and the other one 3451242303-2 and the others 2 got 3451242542-1 /3451242542-2 (those number arent the part number of MY RAMS ..just random number to make the example :S) so i think u are correct :) Thanks alot :)

I see. Yeah, you might as well keep each kit in its own channel. It's probably not a big deal, though. :)

Unfortunately, color schemes aren't standardized. *shrug* It's best to follow the manual although occasionally the manuals are wrong. :D
