Pc will run but nothing shows up on screen or i dont get a beep

Hello,
the other day my comp shut off on its own an wouldnt turn back on an i notice if i unplug my sata HD an have no HD in it everything will boot up an it will show up on screen an beep but if i connect the sata HD back on it wont show nothing on screen an will not give a beep any suggestions

Try a new sata cable and then check, also use a different power connector for that sata drive..... post a feedback...
If this doesn't work, remove the HDD and plug it into another computer that's working fine and see if it shows up in the Bios , if not you have a dead HDD on your hands....
