Video card error.

Hello,
i have a toshiba satellite a300
my laptop got a virus and all god redone. it used to have vista and the person who fixed it changed it to xp.
i just got the new sims and it is saying that i dont have a video card that supports it, i dont know what to do or how to fix it.
apparently i have a video card that works.

You do.

My bet is that the person who installed XP on your computer forgot to install the video card driver. This being the case, windows will use its own driver, which sucks and doesn't support much.
On top of that, you will likely also need to download DX.

Here is the toshiba support site. Use it to find your model and download the video card driver.

Seems to me irresponsible of someone to downgrade you to windows XP without your permission. Especially since they also failed to install drivers.
