Gigabyte motherboard mounting question.

The Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H has 9 mounting holes for the case.
6 of them have a star outline around them.
The other 3 on the right side of the motherboard have half a star outline? Do I do anything special with those or just mount it normally just like the other 6?

If the holes don't line up with anything in behind it on the case I'm guessing it's okay to leave them bare.

I think most motherboards come with auxiliary holes for different types of cases so they're just extra.

Not sure though, you could look up an installation tutorial on YT and see if they talk about them or not.

Exactly how does one put in screws normally when the holes on the mother board do not line up with anything on the case?

The star and half-star outline Bmoneh is talking about is the solder surrounding the holes to help them ground to the case. The holes will still line up normally with a regular ATX case's standoffs.
