Why is my mobo so hot?

Ok so I randomly ran SIW just curious as to what my temps were..
Everything cpu, gpu, hdd, etc were between 15-25c at idle (under gaming load goes to 45-50c)

but just idle it reads that my mainboard is 122c..

is this a false reading or is it really that hot? I have used this pc daily for the past 6 months without any hiccups or issues.. wouldn't I experience some sort of issue with it being that hot?

www.piriform.com/speccy Try this to check your temps on the motherboard. At 122C the board would be shot by now.

Thank you. I will try that this evening.
Yeah that's what I figured, that it would be shot by now or at least experiencing some issues.
But I game each night and haven't had any problems whatsoever.

same here...

Speccy reads my motherboard around 80ish Celsius when ASUS (P8P67 LE - LGA1155) BIOS reads at a constant 30 Celsius...

HW Monitor also reads it the same as Speccy.


Are Speccy and HW Monitor reading the MB temp in Fahrenheit or are they accurate in reading the Celsius temp. of my supposedly overheating ASUS MB?

try to put up some cooler to your cpu.... to minimize from hot.....
