Try your card in another computer if possible. See if it still has problems. If so its dead/dieing.

No can do. This is my only computer aside from my laptop.

Sounds like you messed with the drivers from the other thread. You can use Driver Sweeper to clean out all of your VGA drivers (make you sure you get them all, and run the software again in Safe Mode), and then reinstall the newest driver from Nvdia directly.
